Kestelman says that when his team first sat down with world-renowned architects Bates Smart, they had a distinct goal in mind.
“We were very clear that we wanted to create a landmark building that would draw comparisons with other internationally-renowned luxury addresses,” says Kestelman. “From the outside, an unmistakable vision of architectural brilliance and on the inside, a building that would embrace every aspect of New York-style designer apartment living.”
“Having been in the market myself for a luxury apartment, I knew there was a gap in the Melbourne market: a building designed especially for owner-occupiers, and downsizers in particular. With Capitol Grand now over 75% sold, we feel we’ve judged the market well.”
Much more than a landmark building
Kestelman is keen to stress that the exclusiveness of Capitol Grand isn’t just a result of its address or amenities.
“What we set out to achieve and what we’re accomplishing is allowing people to downsize while maintaining the level of luxury they are used to in their current homes,” he says.
